The vented design keeps my sweaty yams cool even when the mercury rises, and the removable booty is easy to pull out and let air dry. The side zipper and single ratcheting buckle makes entry and exit a breeze. Also, the micro-fiber is flexible enough while walking around after your track session. While on the bike, that flexibility allows for unhindered movement fore and aft. A reinforced racing sole helps prevent most crash-related injuries in addition to plastic and carbon protectors at the ankle, shin and heel. The outer material is made of a Lorica/cowhide construction for added durability. Rounded edges help with sliding, as do the plastic toe sliders. In addition, the nylon innersoles resist crushing and puncturing. The design includes a comfortable Air Tech arch support and a diagonal heel construction that keeps the foot ideally positioned while riding. This is a great option for track warriors and those who are involved in high performance sport riding.
AXO Freedom GT Waterproof Boots AXO is a top name in motorcycle boots and my first set of street kicks from the Italian company was the Freedom GT Waterproof boots. The BOA Technologies steel lacing cinches the mid-shin boot comfortably against the foot and leg with a thickly padded tongue, and is easy to use even with gloves. The Freedom boots are flexible right away and still provide protection with polyurethane molded inserts in the shin, heel and calf. The best thing about these boots is that they provide a wide range of riding coverage. I used them for regular commuting, splashing through hundreds of miles of adventure touring and even put them to use on a racetrack.
